We’re Excited to Announce the Official Launch of the Brazil-Ireland Association!
It’s hard to believe that after a year and a half of dedication, collaboration, and passion, the Brazil Ireland Association is officially launched! What began as a small dream has blossomed into something truly special, and this moment fills our hearts with pride and gratitude.
A Gathering of Leaders and Communities
Our launch event was nothing short of amazing. We had the privilege of welcoming Minister Dara Calleary, Senator Mary Fitzpatrick, and our Embassy Secretary João Marcelo, alongside representatives from the Workplace Commission and embassies from Peru, Colombia, Argentina, South Africa. It was a true celebration of community, collaboration, and shared ambition.
National Anthems
A moment of emotion
One of the most emotional moments for all of us was hearing the Brazilian national anthem, beautifully performed by Dani Daia and Mestre Capoeira Tatu, followed by the Irish anthem sung by Oisín Cook.
The energy at Avolon was unforgettable, and we are beyond thankful for their support and the stunning venue.
Uniting Voices
Important discussions and insights
Our discussions on Employment Permits, expertly led by Candy Fabricia, Taise Azevedo, and Barbara Andrade, were eye-opening, and the survey presented by Fernanda Hermanson gave us crucial insights into our community’s needs. It was a day full of learning, sharing, and connecting.

We know this is only the beginning. Our mission is to continue growing this incredible network of professionals, empowering them to thrive in their careers here in Ireland. During this MVP (Minimum Viable Product) phase, we’ll focus on gathering more expert knowledge and delivering high-quality, practical support to our community. By around March 2025, we envision a fully developed and thriving association. In order for this to happen, we need YOU!
A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers
We are deeply grateful to every volunteer who made this event possible—you all made a difference, and we couldn’t have done it without your dedication and love. This association has flourished because of you, and we’re just getting started!
